This is a model of the service airshaft next to my building. This enclosed space is used by tenants to throw their trash, and its structure and layout became the basis for the model I created. One of my apartment windows faces directly into the service airshaft. Inside this airshaft, there is an extra section on the left that has been closed off with a wooden fence. That fenced-off area belongs to the restaurant located across from my apartment window. For the model, I used only black foam board. I chose black because at night the only light inside the service air shaft comes from the restaurant’s window, and I wanted to emphasize that in my project.
